Our difference
At the heart of Panania Childcare is what we like to call Samsala.
It’s the word we’ve come up with to represent the joyful loving child - curious, imaginative, connected and filled with possibility.
It gives a name to something that has always been at the heart of our centres: our belief that childhood should be treasured and that every child should experience the freedom to wonder, imagine, create, belong and become uniquely themselves.

We treasure the joy of creating authentic connections with the children, enabling them to be free and safe to express their inherent creativity and imagination.
Our Philosophy has been shaped over the years by our educators, families and children along with contemporary early childhood education philosophies. Our centres weave together these different perspectives to deliver a service that is unique and tailored allowing us to truly get to know the children and families within our care.

Spirituality ~ Wonder, Connection & the Inner World of the Child
In our Samsala way, spirituality is not connected to any particular religion or belief system. It is about nurturing the inner world of each child and creating opportunities for them to experience wonder, awe, joy, imagination, reflection and a deep sense of connection.
We see spirituality in the small and meaningful moments of childhood — noticing the changing seasons, wondering at something discovered in nature, becoming lost in imaginative play, creating through art and movement, experiencing stillness, showing gratitude, caring for others and developing a sense of belonging within our community.
We encourage children to be curious about the world around them and to recognise beauty, possibility and meaning in everyday experiences. Through warm relationships, connection with nature, creativity, storytelling, reflection and unhurried moments, we nurture each child's developing sense of self, belonging and connection to the world around them.
For us, spirituality means protecting children's capacity to wonder.

For Kara, early childhood education has always been about far more than care — it is about honouring childhood.
As an owner and educator, Kara believes every child deserves to grow within a small, nurturing environment where they are deeply known, genuinely loved and given the freedom to discover who they are. Her belief in the importance of authentic connection is the heart behind Panania's vision, its philosophy and its values of Love, Family, Courage and Spirituality.
